A Personal Letter From Jon

Dear Pacific Surfari Adventurers,

Many years ago at Hollister Ranch a friend spun a tall tale of perfect surf during a session at Rights. He described a long, beautiful right hander, 100ft visibility, fish everywhere and nobody around.

Well, as most all of you know it’s true.

To experience this place is a gift.

I have done dozens of Indo trips with Martin on the IT3 and 4.

I have chartered boats all over surfdom…….and this, my friends — the wave and the new boats — are the goods.

This summer I surfed our spot and inspected the 70 ft 6 passenger Motor Yacht and the 100 ft 10-12 passenger Motor Yacht. They are two very fine yachts and perfect for 6 people or up to 12 people on the 100fter.

We have secured an arrangement after a long pursuit and have the only permission as far as we know. The last few years many of us have been dodging the Mexican navy to surf Iguanas. Ive been boarded 2 x on “stealth ” trips and its very nerve wracking to have the Navy on your boat and getting kicked out. Now we are in the clear with permission.

Seizure risk and Navy patrols and a low profile will keep it hopefully under wraps for years…with an occasional barnacle or two on pongas running out there…..

So we are back in business.

Privacy is still the rule.

No web posts, no Instagram, no public squawking.

I want to keep this simple. No jerks. I want to deal with cool people — people who love to surf, honor their word, are decisive and respect the magic of the spot.

We will run the boat into and through October and offer 3 day and 5 day trips.

I suspect we will sell out each season, so sharpen your pencils, look at your calendar and email me your thoughts on your week(s). I will look for a lead person to book the week and pay to keep things simple.

Best Regards fellow Surfarians!
